Read on AdvisorHubJack Edwards, a lawyer with the Ajamie firm in Houston, who represents Milligan and the other putative class members, said he plans to fight the seven intervening brokers’ request to stay his case pending the outcome of their arbitrations.
If the federal court grants Merrill’s summary judgment motion, Milligan’s legal team will appeal, Edwards said. If the court denies Merrill’s motion, Milligan will proceed with class certification, he added.
